Danny grew up in a Jewish home outside New York City. In 1971 he had a powerful encounter with the Lord that turned his life upside down and inside out. He and his wife Penny married in 1974 and moved to Columbus, Ohio where they planted a home church. That home church merged with some other home churches and in 1997 joined with the Association of Vineyard Churches and became Vineyard Church of Columbus. Danny served as the Senior Associate Pastor at Vineyard Columbus until 2002 when he and Penny planted Vineyard Church of Delaware County. Danny has served as an Area Pastoral Care Leader since the 1990’s and will assume the role of the Regional Overseer for West Virginia, Western Pennsylvania and much of Ohio in 2013. Since the mid 1980’s Danny has been very involved in missions, with a primary focus in Brazil. He now serves as one of the leaders for the Vineyard Brazilian Partnership. Danny and Penny have three grown children and four grandchildren.
As Senior Pastor, Danny co-labors with Michael Hansen in setting the vision and direction of the church. Among many other things, Danny's primary responsibilities include preaching, teaching, and training.
Michael joined the staff in 2008 and has been involved with the Vineyard Church for over 20 years. He trained as a Worship Leader at the Langley Vineyard Church in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. In 2000 the Hansen family moved to Ohio for Michael to serve as the Worship and Arts Pastor at Vineyard Church of Columbus. Michael has been married to Helen for more than 25 amazing years and they have two sons, Jeremy and Daniel.

Associate / Worship Pastor
J.T. joined the VCDC staff in 2012. He has been involved in ministry, leading small groups, worship etc. since he was in high school. He is also a graduate of the Vineyard Leadership institute. In 2008 J.T. joined the staff at LIFE Vineyard Church as Worship Director and Small Group Coordinator. He has a heart for pastoral care as well as for identifying and developing leaders. J.T. has been married to his wife Laura since 2011 and have a daughter, Olive.
J.T.’s responsibilities include:
Bill joined the staff in 2011 and prior to that spent 17 years at a Logistics firm serving in various accounting management positions. Bill and his family have been attending the Vineyard many years, joining the VCDC family in February 2008. Bill handles the business operations of the church and along with his wife Misty oversees our Marriage Ministry. Bill and his wife Misty have been married over 30 years and have 3 sons, Sean, Matthew and Ross.

Vicky joined the staff in 2012. She is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and spent years in sales and marketing in the electronics industry. She and her husband, Derek, have been married 15 years and have two daughters. Vicky serves as a small group leader and treasures time spent with her family.

Heather recently joined our staff in the spring of 2017. Prior to coming to VCDC, she was involved as a small group leader for over 10 years at Vineyard Columbus. She also graduated from Vineyard Leadership Institute in 2007. Heather spent the last 15 years as a Graphic Designer working at various design agencies in Columbus. Heather and her husband, Adam, have been married since 2008 and have a daughter, Eden. Heather has a heart for prayer, spiritual direction, community, leadership development, and teaching.

Mara Jo Rummer
Children's Ministry Pastor
Mara Jo has been involved with VCDC children’s program since 2002. Prior to her involvement with VCDC Children’s Ministry, she was a teacher for 20 years. She is a graduate of Ohio State where she completed her undergraduate work after attending Milligan, a private liberal arts school in Tennessee. While attending Milligan she met and married her husband Tim. They have four children and six adorable grandchildren. Mara Jo’s primary responsibility is overseeing VCDC’s Children’s Ministry.

Jay & Jamie McKinley
Jay and Jamie have been in the Vineyard since 1996 and have been attending VCDC since 2008. Before becoming pastoral coordinators in 2012, they served for three years in the middle school ministry and in 2017 have been assigned the role of Youth Pastors for both High & Middle School students.
Jay enjoys being active in sports and the outdoors. He received his BA in History and Secondary Education Licensure from Otterbein College. Jamie enjoys the outdoors, creative activities and spending time with her friends and family. Being the parents of two teenagers they understand the pressures and challenges that students and parents face day to day as well as the joy and praises in raising children in the Lord. Jay and Jamie desire to equip middle school students to grow in their relationship with Christ. They are passionate about getting students connected to the Body of Christ, by emphasizing community and relationships, as well as gaining a deeper understanding of the Word.

Sandy has been on staff since 2007. Previously, she did medical transcription from her home for 15 years while raising her children, and worked for several years in the church office as a volunteer. She and her husband Bryan were married for over 30 years. Sandy loves taking walks and spending time with her ever-growing family, especially her four delightful grandchildren.

Kristin received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. She also is currently employed part-time at Directions Counseling Group in Worthington and is very excited to be joining the pastoral care team here at VCDC as a professional counselor. Kristin enjoys working with families and marriages as well as individual adults and children. She has specialized training in EMDR to treat trauma, stress and anxiety and is also a licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA).
Over the years Kristin has provided leadership and pastoral counseling at several churches within Central Ohio as well as having lived and worked overseas in Indonesia. She and her husband Mark have two wonderful, adventurous adult children and some very special parents.
Kirsten McNamara joined our staff in July of 2016. She has a work background in Food & Beverage and Customer Service. Kirsten and her husband Bob have been married for 3 years and have 2 sons. Bob and Kirsten enjoy spending time with their families and being outdoors.

Joanne Morton has been on staff with VCDC since 2005. Prior to that she volunteered in the church office, and was a stay-at-home wife and mother. She has been married to her loving husband, Bob since 1980 and has two wonderful sons, Mike and Chris and a precious grandaughter.

Kathleen joined our staff in 2012. Prior to working at VCDC, she has enjoyed being a stay-home-mom for 12 years. She has volunteered in Children's Ministry for many years. Kathleen has a work background in customer service. She and her husband Scott have been married for 15 years and have 3 adorable girls.
Kathleen’s responsibilities include:
Sonya joined the VCDC staff in July 2016. She worked as a medical billing account manager for the last 15 years while caring for her family. She and her husband Scott have been married over 19 years. Scott and Sonya love spending time with their three grown children, two teens and four grandchildren. They also love living in the country and caring for animals.

Josiah joined the VCDC staff in June of 2017. He has worked in maintenance for over 12 years. He met his wife, Tiffany, when they both worked for Blockbuster. They have 2 sons and a daughter. They love animals and own many themself. Josiah enjoys deep theological study and conspiracy theories.
